Toltec Practices to Reclaim Your Energy w/Liz Forrest

In this episode, Liz Forrest shares teachings from her mentor Don Miguel Ruiz, author of the book, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom.  The book offers guiding principles based on ancient Toltec wisdom that advocates freedom from self-limiting beliefs that may cause suffering and limitation in a person's life.

The Toltecs are the indigenous people of  Central Mexico, which has been referred to as the heart chakra of the planet. They created the pyramids there and led lives of consciousness and connection. Toltec wisdom is the study of energy. They teach us that we are a combination of energy systems just like everything else on the planet. The teachings include astrology, astronomy, unity, and oneness- reminding us that we are one with nature, the elements, the animals, and each other.

One of the principal teachings is that of awareness. This is awareness of holding and directing your energy, to be able to recognize where you begin to lose your energy by being frivolous with your words. You are constantly spinning energy with your words, The question is, are you focusing your energy in the direction of love or destruction?
